Our Community Planting Day was held on June 1st and we welcomed about 20 volunteers to help plant seedlings in three locations throughout the reserve. The soil in these areas was damp after recent rain and the enthusiastic workers completed the task in good time. They also enjoyed spotting new plant growth, sprouting fungi and the first indigenous flowers of the season. The working bee was followed by a sausage sizzle, snacks, hot drinks and a chance to sit & chat.
